         Women's life in those days was full of hardships. There world was confind to the house of first there father, and then there husband. Their eduacation was neglected. Only a few exceptional  women had ahieved any progress in literacy, administeration and battle skill .They inculed Veermata jijabai , Maharani  yesubai , Maharani tarabai, Umabai Dabhade, Gopikabai , punyashlok ahilyabai. Customs like child mariage, unequal mariage , widowhood  keshwapan, sati , polygamy imposed harsh restriction on the way women

lived.
